International Peace Education Programme
Co-Creating INOCHI for the Future
INOCHI WORLD PROJECT is an International Peace Education Programme that brings children together through music,
film and dialogue to explore the meaning of INOCHI and peace.
The project was born from "LIFE INOCHI with Super Kids Orchestra," an official collaborative event of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan,
attended by approximately 6,000 people.
The message of INOCHI, first shared at Expo 2025, continued far beyond the Expo stage.
In July 2026, the project was officially invited to participate in the 80th Anniversary Programme of the Caux Foundation in Switzerland,
where children from Japan, Switzerland, France and Germany
came together to mark a new milestone in international peace education.
「いのち」の共創を、世界の未来へ
INOCHI WORLD PROJECT は、音楽・映像・対話を通して、
子どもたちが「いのち」と「平和」を学び合う 国際平和教育プログラム
（International Peace Education Programme） です。
本プロジェクトは、大阪・関西万博博覧会協会協力催事
「LIFEいのち with スーパーキッズ・オーケストラ」（参加者約6,000名）から生まれました。
万博で育まれた「いのち」のメッセージは、その舞台だけにとどまることなく、
2026年7月、スイス・CAUXで開催された
Caux Foundation 80周年記念プログラムに正式招待され、
日本・スイス・フランス・ドイツの子どもたちとともに、
新たな国際平和教育の歩みを築きました。
International Peace Education Programme
Over two days, children from Japan, Switzerland, France and Germany experienced LIFE INOCHI, dialogue, choir, peace education and the Future Peace Declaration.
国際平和教育プログラム
2日間にわたり、日本・スイス・フランス・ドイツの子どもたちが、「LIFEいのち」、対話、合唱、平和教育、未来平和宣言をともに体験しました。
Understanding the Story of Caux
The programme began with an introduction to the history of Caux.
Participants explored how Caux became a symbol of reconciliation after the Second World War, and why people from around the world continue to gather here in the pursuit of peace.Understanding this history became the foundation of the two-day learning journey.

LIFE INOCHI – A Cinematic Journey into Life
Created as an official collaboration programme for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, LIFE is a director-led screening and dialogue programme personally presented by the filmmaker.
Through this immersive cinematic experience, participants are invited to explore the interconnectedness of life, reflect on peace, and envision the future we will create together.

Dialogue
A facilitated dialogue programme that encourages children to listen, share and learn from one another across cultures.
Following the film experience, participants engage in guided conversations, discovering that peace begins with understanding different perspectives and recognizing our shared humanity.

Special Screening of LIFE INOCHI
A special screening presented at the Opening Ceremony of the Caux 80th Anniversary.
The ceremony opened with a welcome message by Sayaka Hashimoto, followed by a live presentation of LIFE INOCHI, featuring narration and singing by creator and director Masahiko Hashimoto.
Together, they invited the audience to experience the interconnectedness of life and reflect on peace, humanity and our shared future.

The culmination of the International Peace Education Programme.
Following the screening of LIFE INOCHI, the children performed INOCHI, the song first presented at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Having learned history, engaged in dialogue, and shared meaningful experiences, they expressed their hopes through song.
Their voices became a symbol of friendship, hope, and a shared commitment to peace.

A Journey to the Summit — by Mountain Railway
登山鉄道で、山頂へ。子どもたちへの特別な贈り物。
As part of the Caux 80th Anniversary programme, Montreux Oberland Bernois Railway (MOB) generously hosted a Special Excursion Program for the children and international participants of the INOCHI WORLD PROJECT.
Travelling together through the Swiss Alps to Rochers-de-Naye, participants experienced the beauty of nature, shared conversations across cultures, and concluded the journey by singing together on the mountaintop.
More than an excursion, it became an educational experience where nature, culture, and human connection came together to deepen the spirit of peace.
Building on this successful collaboration, Feel & Sense and MOB look forward to exploring future opportunities to develop this programme as part of an international peace education initiative.
CAUX80周年記念プログラムの一環として、MOB（モントルー・オーベルラン・ベルノワ鉄道）は、INOCHI WORLD PROJECTに参加した子どもたちと国際参加者のためにスペシャル・エクスカーション・プログラムを提供してくださいました。
参加者はロシェ・ド・ネイ山頂までの旅をともにし、スイスの雄大な自然に触れながら、国境や文化を越えて交流を深め、最後には山頂で平和への願いを込めて歌を届けました。
この体験は単なる観光ではなく、自然・文化・芸術・対話が一つになった平和教育プログラムとなりました。
今回の成功を礎に、Feel & SenseとMOBは、この取り組みを国際平和教育プログラムとしてさらに発展させていく可能性をともに探っていきます。

The mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with a delegation from Japan, visit Caux — carrying the weight of what fire can do. Witnessing French and German reconciliation here, they find a spirit that would later shape the vow inscribed at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial: never to repeat the past.
広島・長崎の市長をはじめとする日本からの訪問団がCauxを訪れる。独仏の和解を目の当たりにしたこの地での体験は、のちに広島平和記念公園の慰霊碑に刻まれる誓い「過ちを二度と繰り返さない」の精神へとつながった。

What moves me most about the INOCHI collaboration is not only the beauty of what will happen on stage,
but the story it tells.
In 1950, only a few years after the devastation of war, Japanese visitors came to Caux seeking reconciliation and were welcomed with songs in their own language. Today, children and young people from Japan, France, Germany (tbc), and Switzerland gather here once again. Different histories, different cultures, different generations — yet the same longing for dignity, friendship and peace.
Born from the legacy of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, the INOCHI WORLD PROJECT reminds us of the preciousness of life and of our responsibility towards one another and towards future generations. As we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Caux Foundation, my hope is that these young voices will touch our hearts and remind us that trust can always be rebuilt, that bridges can always be created, and that the future depends as much on the humanity of the next generation as on the decisions of today's leaders.

1950年、戦争の深い傷跡がまだ残る時代、日本からの人々は和解を求めてCauxを訪れました。そして彼らは、自らの言葉による歌によって温かく迎えられました。それから時を経た今日、日本、フランス、ドイツ、そしてスイスの子どもたちや若者たちが、再びこの地に集います。異なる歴史。異なる文化。異なる世代。しかし彼らの心には、尊厳を大切にしたいという願い、友情を育みたいという願い、そして平和を希求する想いが共通して息づいています。

Ignacio Packer — Executive Director, Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation
Ignacio Packer is the Executive Director of the Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation in Switzerland, where he and his team create spaces for dialogue between people and institutions that do not always agree. Appointed in 2023, he brings more than thirty years of experience in humanitarian action, international development and human rights. Before joining Caux, he served as Executive Director of ICVA, the global network of humanitarian NGOs, and as Secretary General of the Terre des Hommes International Federation, alongside leadership and advisory roles with Médecins Sans Frontières and the Terre des Hommes Foundation.
Born in Germany, living in Switzerland, with roots in Wales and Spain, Ignacio often describes himself as a citizen of the world. His work is guided by a simple conviction: that listening matters as much as speaking, that trust takes time to build, and that lasting change often begins with small, personal steps. An enthusiastic ultra-trail runner, he sees endurance running as a school of patience and resilience.

A Reflection on Peace
Last year, at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, I experienced something truly unforgettable.A choir of nearly one hundred children and a full orchestra of young musicians came together to express the preciousness of life through music. Their pure voices, sincere performances, and the immersive visual imagery inspired by the universe created a profound experience.As I listened, one thought continued to grow within me: This work should not end with the Expo.It deserves to be shared with the world.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, we witnessed something we will never forget.
More than 200 children gathered to sing "INOCHI." Among them were children living with serious illnesses and children who had struggled to attend school. Together, they reflected on the meaning of life and expressed their feelings through music.
In that moment, we were reminded that peace is never something we can take for granted. It is created through the thoughts, compassion and actions of each individual.Carrying that light from Expo 2025, we came to Caux.
Here, eighty years after a journey of reconciliation first began, children from Japan, Switzerland, France and Germany learned together, shared their stories, sang together and stood side by side.
What we received in Caux was greater than we could ever have imagined.
We found friends who felt like family.We built relationships founded on deep trust.
And above all, we came away with the conviction that peace is not merely an ideal—it can truly be created when people meet one another with open hearts.Most importantly, the children experienced this for themselves.
They discovered that beyond nationality, language and culture, they could laugh together, learn together, sing together and care for one another.
We believe these experiences will remain in their hearts as seeds for the future, growing one day into bridges that connect people, nations and generations.
This journey has only just begun.
We hope you will walk with us as we continue bringing this experience to children around the world.

私たちは、大阪・関西万博で、決して忘れることのできない光景に出会いました。
200人を超える子どもたちが、ともに「いのち」を歌いました。その中には、難病と向き合う子どもや、学校へ通うことが難しかった子どももいました。一人ひとりが「いのち」と向き合い、その想いを歌声にのせて届けてくれました。
あの瞬間、私たちは改めて感じました。
平和は、一人ひとりの心に生まれた願いが、互いに響き合うことで育まれていくのだと。
その灯を胸に、私たちはCauxへ向かいました。
和解への歩みが始まって80年を迎えたこの場所で、日本、スイス、フランス、ドイツの子どもたちは、ともに学び、語り合い、歌い、同じ時間を過ごしました。
そして、私たちがCauxで得たものは、想像していた以上に大きなものでした。
魂でつながる友と出会えたこと。深い信頼で結ばれる仲間ができたこと。
そして何より、平和は理想ではなく、人と人が心から出会うことで実現できるのだと確信できたことです。
その確信は、私たちだけのものではありません。
子どもたちもまた、この場所で国や言葉、文化を越えて互いを知り、笑い、語り合い、歌い、その時間をともにする中で、
平和とは「ともに生きること」なのだということを、自分自身の心で感じてくれました。
私たちは、この体験が子どもたち一人ひとりの心に未来への種として残り、いつの日か人と人、国と国、

VISION | ビジョン
We believe peace begins in the human heart.
It begins when we feel our connection with ourselves,
with one another,
with nature,
and with the Earth.
Not only through knowledge,
but through experience.
Through art, dialogue and time shared together,
children begin to discover what life is,
what it means to live,
and what it means to live together.
These experiences become seeds for the future.
They become each child's own voice.
And one day,
those voices become songs that resonate with peace.
Our vision is to create opportunities for children around the world to experience this journey together.
Together with schools, choirs, cultural institutions, companies,
foundations and communities,
we will build a sustainable framework so that this International Peace Education Programme
can continue to reach future generations.

私たちは、一人ひとりが「いのちのつながり」に気づく体験を大切にしています。
自分とのつながり、他者とのつながり、自然とのつながり、
そして地球とのつながり
それらを知識として学ぶだけではなく、 自らの体験を通して感じることが大切です。
芸術や対話、
そして自然の中でともに過ごす時間を通して、
子どもたちは少しずつ、
「いのちとは何か」
「生きるとはどういうことか」
「ともに生きるとはどういうことか」
を感じ、自分の中に育んでいきます。
その体験は未来の種となり、
やがて一人ひとりの声となり、
響き合う歌となって、
平和を育んでいくと、私たちは信じています。

Together with schools, choirs, cultural institutions, companies, foundations, public authorities, local communities, and many other partners, we will build a sustainable framework that enables this international peace education programme to be carried forward for generations to come.
